The Lake County Clerk’s office will be closed for walk-in customer and non-election service on Tuesday, November 8. In order to ensure a smooth and efficient Election Day operation, all County Clerk staff members are needed for election support for the entire day.
All departments will re-open for service as usual on Wednesday, November 9 at 8:30 a.m. 


All Lake County government offices, including the county clerk's office, will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 30, due to extremely cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills predicted for the Lake County area. On Wednesday, Lake County officials will evaluate the weather forecast and determine when all offices will re-open. Check our home page or Facebook page for the latest update.
The County Clerk's office is the official record-keeper of birth, marriage, civil union and death records for Lake County. Certified copies of these records may be obtained from the Vital Records Department by eligible individuals. In addition, the Clerk's office issues licenses for marriages and civil unions that occur in Lake County.
